Central and Remote locking

Featured Replies

2006 mk6 facelift. 5Door

I have 2 keys (Only 1 is a remote fob) both will only lock/unlock the drivers door from outside (Using key in door). The remote will unlock Drivers door and all doors (Changing from drivers only to all option from dashboard display, holding buttons on fob does nothing to activate the change process)

unlocking from drivers door internal handle will pop the other door handles, Locking from internal drivers door handle will only lock the drivers door. other doors remain unlocked.

pressing the lock button on fob while sitting in the vehicle i can hear the relay "tick" in the dash and a mechanism operate in the drivers door but nothing happens to the internal handles in all doors.

thanks

A bit hard to understand what you are describing, but from what I can gather you have a seized latch. Try lubricating mechanism with WD40 to free, then grease to see if it starts working (with door casing off, inside door). Failing that you will need to purchase a new latch assembly
