Turbo boost pipe fault

Featured Replies

Afternoon.

So I had my car diagnosed and turned out I needed a new boost pipe, which I replaced and the fault went for a couple of weeks but now its back. I didn't use a ford part, would this be why it's come back? I've heard it can be but not wanting to pay out if that's not why.

It's like it goes into limp mode and acceleration is very slow, the glow plug light flashes orange on the dash when the fault is happening.

Please help lol

Maybe the pipe wasn't tightened enough?  There's nothing special about boost pipes, they literally just hold the air in, an aftermarket part should be capable of that.

If it hasn't split or fallen off, you'll have to have the fault codes read again.

I've checked the pipe and all good with that. A friend of mine has noticed the boost activator isn't returning as it should and sticking. Part ordered and hopefully that works. 🤞

So, I've replaced the boost actuator and worked for a short time but it's gone back to how it was.

Any one have any clues still?
