Alloys

Featured Replies

Is there any body on this plant no what colour the alloys are on a Ford Fiesta st line x 2018 I know the alloys were made in Poland some say it’s rado grey and others say it’s rock grey I cannot get this information from Ford has they have no records of this believe it or not i want to get my alloys refurbish and want to keep them the same colour as they left the factory

St line x are machined finished 18s. The standard st line 17s are 100% rock grey.

This has come up several times eg

https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/108859-mk8-st-line-17inch-rock-metal-alloys-colour-code/

plus 2 or 3 similar threads.

Certainly on the price list/order guide when I ordered mine Ford referred to it as Rock Metallic.

It always strikes me as odd (and annoying) that manufacturers (not just Ford) never seem to offer touch up sticks in their wheel colours, given how easily they get chipped and scraped.

Hi Scott I have a st line x 2018 on my car they are 17s and it’s an st line x why would you say st line x are machined in 18s and is it on the newer models that they fitted 18s or could you choose when you purchased the car what you had on you have got me thinking now 👍👍👍

Looking at it I think the latest ST line X have the machined 18s as standard. The 2018 model has the same 17 alloys as the St Line with an optional upgrade.

Yes, at launch the X had the 17s as standard, 18s were an option. Early 2018 price list/order guide link attached (if it works) which may be helpful.
