Fiesta Fuse number 18 Europe Type 2

Featured Replies

Dear Forum members,

I have a Ford Fiesta MK7 2009 with a electricity leakage problem. I have measured 0.3A at rest, which is huge. I have then went on to try all the fuses one by one to see when the problem disappears. It appeared to be fuse number 18. Please see attached photo. In my manual it says this is the instrument cluster, but nothing from the instrument panel goes offline when removing the fuse. Some online sources say that this is the cigarette lighter/front charger, but also that one was still working perfectly. To be honest, I have been searching already for 3 days to understand which device this fuse number 18 is linked to, but I have not been able to find out what it is.

Is there anyone on the forum who can help me out?

Kind regards

I doubt it's the cigarette lighter feed, as it should have a 20A fuse fitted.

The instrument cluster is supposed to have a 7.5A fuse, so my guess is that (which is also what it states when I look online). Have you tried starting the car with that fuse removed?
