One off E10 refuel for a remapped Ford Fiesta using 99 Octane

Featured Replies

Hello,

I recently got my Ford Fiesta 1.0 eco boost remapped on Revo Stage 1 software. This was done using Tesco Momentum fuel. In January I'm going up to the lake District which will likely take a while tank of fuel to get up there. Whilst I'm there I'm not sure I'll be able refill the tank with premium fuel and will have to fill it with standard E10 95 octane fuel to get me back home.

The plan would be to carry on using premium fuel once I'm back home and this would be strictly one off. Is there severe risk doing this? I looked into the possibility of buying a 20L fuel tank to take with me with premium fuel to top up until I could find a garage that does 99 fuel but the extra weight obviously won't help fuel efficiency...

You need to check with Revo, tuners usually say whether their maps are configured to use the knock sensors and scale back safely, or if they require 99 all the time.
