Ecoboost oil feed problem - need help

Hello, Fiesta owners. My daughter has a 2012 Focus with the 1.0 Ecoboost engine.

Knowing that some models of Fiesta use the same engine I'm asking if anyone has encountered a turbocharger failure caused by oil starvation? 

Despite painstakingly clearing the  oil pump strainer, fitting a new filter and oil, there is still no oil supply to the turbo.

I've confirmed there is no blockage in the feed pipe itself and when fitted to the engine block I can actually blow down the pipe.

Curiously, blowing down the pipe causes air to come out if the oil filler hole!

Any experience/ideas appreciated. Please note I've previously posted on the Focus forum but not yet figured out the problem.
