Hello !

Im new to this great forum and wonder if there is a way to disable the engine stop/start function or make the car remember my settings.

I have looked around but did not find a topic regarding this. Thanks and greetings from Denmark

Hi,

It can be switched off in Forscan or use Sport Mode

Yes, Forscan

It's not a "drop-down" setting though, you need the code

I see thanks, my dealer might be able to do this for me. Did not know the meaning of forscan 😄

You can down load FORSCan software for free from here: https://forscan.org/download.html

You will also need a 'Modified ELM327' lead like this: https://tunnelrat-electronics.fwscart.com/USB_Modified_with_switch_ELM327/p4541936_17045457.aspx

Sorry I do not know the code to turn off the Stop/Start system

Thats great, thanks, now I just need the code 😃

Next week I hope to be testing a brand new device that will be available next year. It automatically sets your Start/Stop system to your preferred state each time you start the car. The new device will also remember your driving mode (eco - normal - sport) each time you start, so no need to have to push the button each time you get in.

I will be installing it over the Christmas holidays and will report back on the forum how it goes.

Just press the button!

No, they won't do that.

You ned Forscan software and a suitable OBD lead

Sounds great, is it a device like this ?

No, I have seen them before they plug n to the OBDII port. Probably ok for the Stop/Start but that will be all. I don't expect they can select driving mode.

This thing is absolutely brilliant and solve both problems at once

That's what I do, every time I start the car.
