MK4 Heated rear screen fuse

Featured Replies

Hi all, new to the group.

I cannot find the location of the fuse for the rear screen heater and door mirrors. It’s a mk4 st line late 2019. The owners manual does not list it in the fuse section. I’ve looked online but everything is for earlier models which have very different fuse layouts.

Anyone else had this issue?

I've just joined this group and finding the location of the fuse is the same problem I'm having. The handbook lists the fuses for the heated front screen (77,78 & 79) and also if any auxiliary heater is fitted (83, 84 & 85) but nothing for the heated rear screen.

Does anyone know which are the fuses the heated rear screen?

My heated screen stopped working but I suspect it could be due to the battery being low (having read that this can be the case) and although I've now charged it I've not had the chance to check that the heated rear screen is working and wanted to check the fuse but can't find it!

It should be no 50. It is listed as Heated Back Light.

The Ford Focus Mk4 wiring schematics say the Heated Rear Window is Fuse F78

The numbering is different @unofix, that one is Fuse 50 in the Owners Manual.

So it could be either ???

I don't check the owners handbooks unless I don't have the vehicles Ford schematics which up to now have been correct. I'll dig out the circuit diagram and follow it through from the screen to the fuse.

Just checked and re-checked both the Focus Mk4 2018 and 2020 Ford schematics. They both show Fuse F78 for the heated rear window. This could perhaps be a problem with the owners handbook as it would seem unlikely that the Ford workshop schematics would be wrong for two model years.

It's the same Fuse but it is called 50 in the Owners Handbook, all the numbers are different.Screenshot(372).thumb.png.b0113386c6083d20b107b67e2bf27d5f.png

Yes you are right 👍

The Html online handbook is using different numbering for the fuses. The actual physical fuse location is the same. I can't even think what Ford are playing at.
