Fiesta 1.4tdci non start.

Featured Replies

I have just changed a clutch master cylinder on my 07 fiesta 1..4tdci as the rod snapped. The car started before I changed it. I went to start and move the car after the job was done and all it does it cranks and not fires. I have God fuel pressure and the crank sensor is showing on live data. I've checked fuses . I have not removed any fuel pipes or wiring Los during the repair. Can anyone help?

Battery is probably weak from repeated door openings, interior lights etc while working on it.  I'd definitely see if it'll jump start or put it on charge before anything else.

Does the engine crank over at the same speed it used to, I mean, does it sound the same as before?

A weak battery would cause it to turn over more slowly and you'd hear that.

Hi yes it cranks like normal, it just dont fire. You cant smell fuel coming out the exhaust. Spray easy start and it will run.

This sounds like a lack of fuel getting to the cylinders. How did you test the fuel pressure?

Are the injectors doing their thing? Have they become unplugged? Has their fuse blown?

I've not disturbed the fuel system. Reading live data its showing pressure that will start it. It ran 2 hours prior to fitting the cylinder . Its weird. I have checked all fuses in the car and under the bonnet
