Dpf forced regeneration

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise how to force a dpf regeneration without a scanner or without driving it like I stole it.. focus 1.6 tdci also what are the signs that regeneration is in process?

Hi,

Forscan to force regen and suitable ELM327 usb lead. Engine must be 15 minutes plus warm, battery voltage good.

Automatic regen

Plan journey where you can run at a constant speed for at least 10 minutes, preferably M'way late evening or at night.

Engine must be 20 minutes warm then drive at a legal speed in a lower gear that will hold the revs at 3,800 RPM (possibly 65 MPH in 3rd Gear) hold that engine speed for at least 10 minutes

Thanks will give it a try..

Did you get the additive reset & priming sorted?  It won't attempt a regen while there are faults with that no matter how hard you drive it.
