I took car for mot with a knock coming from front thinking it's going to fail (bottom arms worn) but passed with no advisors so I asked about the knock from the steering & was told common fault with fiesta mk7, has anyone else had this problem? Was thinking of replacing steering rack but is it worth it?

    How do you know it's the steering rack? You say it's knocking but haven't said what causes it to knock (is it turning the wheel when stationary? Going over bumps? Going over bumps when turning? Etc.)

    Sorry 🙈 when turning the steering wheel driving or stationary

    Sounds like it could be the common issue of the steering column not having enough (or any) grease on it. There's loads of videos on YouTube about how to re-grease it.
