No seat belt alarm on 2006 Ford Fusion(F6JB/Europe)

Featured Replies

Recently I bought my car from a private seller. I have it for almost 1 year now and i drives perfectly fine. I want to turn on the seat belt alarm so it beeps when the belt is not inserted. I've double checked the dashlight with the all leds lighting fetaure(hold on the reset daytime kilometer and turn the key to second position) - it shows the seat belt light. Led Feature image

Does anyone know how can I fix this, reset or something else?

(Also does not have alarm for thieves)

Thank you very much!

There is not a seatbelt alarm on UK Fusion models - the dash may have the LED, but that does not mean the alarm is actually fitted, as the alarm might only be for certain markets.  The UK Owner's Manual does not mention anything about  a seat belt alarm.

When you just turn on the ignition normally, is the LED illuminated ?

No, the seat belt LED is not illuminated when I turn the ignition.

Seat belt warning only fitted for Japanese market.

Hey, I can see that this topic is old almost two years, but I want to add to the question: I have 1.4 tdci fusion EU, and also on LED test there is seatbelt chime, and under the front seats I can see two cables that are plugged in and look like sensors, so for what they are for?

Are those for the airbags or what? I tried the method with 9 times buckle and unbuckle, but that only works on focus mk 2, I think.

So if this is the seatbelt with the sensor (this picture is from internet not mine) where should it be plugged in?

That's a Pretensioner

If seat belt warning was available on Japan market, you could try turning it on, using FORScan and see if it works

So it's not a sensor/ . Here are my seats, and these are pretensioners, right?
