Thanks, fingers will be crossed whilst at work waiting for the text.

If he fails it I could always take it out on his 4x4  truck 🤔

Just heard that in Northern Ireland, there is a consultation starting to move MOT to a 2 x year interval - yipeee...

Might be good having mot each two years, might not.  Eg on sill rust and brake pipe corrosion and many other things will they be stricter on the basis that it will be twice as long before next check.

It was picked up later than planned, 0730 instead of 0700.

I think someone either forgot or over slept but that's the beauty of having your own garage I suppose.

Car has now been serviced and dropped off back at home so will no doubt get an invoice when I get in from work later.

I wouldn't expect a modern new car to fail for at least 8 to 10 years, unless it's driving by an uncaring loony 😃

Was there not talk on moving the first MOT to four years from new ?

Plenty of cars fail at 3 years old...people rarely check bulbs, wipers and tyres sadly.

Seen 3 year old cars fail first Mots. Had a bmw 320 failed emissions . Tpms lights is another common one., and as  said usually tyres , bulbs wipers and brakes.
