my son had a little bump today with the snow he was turning a corner and the car skided into a kerb,he now saying the front wheel is catching the wheel arch abit any idea what this can be he thinks the wheel has been pushed in i was thinking it might be wish bone but i dont no lol

Similar thing happened to me many years ago and it was the track rod end that snapped. 

i but would car still drive he drove it back about 3mile,and just said the wheel was catching inside the wing thats all i no

 

Lower suspension arm bent i would say  ☹️

Before ordering any parts I would get it looked at on a ramp / lift rather than guess (IMHO).

Can also bend the shock as well, but wishbone is most likely.

My wife had a small bump in her escort mk5 a few years ago.  The front wheel was at a strange angle. It still drove but screeched the tyre when cornering.  Shock was bent but it was hard to tell as it bent where it went into the hub carrier thing at bottom of strut.  It was obvious after removed from car but very hard to tell when in place. Wishbones etc are flimsy these days. In the era of cortina’s etc they were more resistant to bending when hitting things
