Extracting dropped bolts from under the stereo in dash focus mk2.5

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Long story short. I fitted a new stereo to my focus mk2.5 and a dropped a couple of bolts right down the bottom of the dash under the stereo.

Does anyone know if there's an easy way to get to the bottom just Infront of the gear stick to remove these loose bolts?

I would leave them where they are they should not be a problem .

Just try to find some more bolts for the job you were doing 🙂

Hey thanks for your response.

Yeah I have finished the stereo install with other bolts I was just worried they would cause a rattle.

But I think your right I'm just going to leave it unless it actually causes any problems.

I did same thing years ago and never heard any rattle  there still there now 🙂

Remove the gaiter from around the gear stick and see if you can get to them, otherwise just leave them as said above.

Telescopic magnet can be handy for trying to dig stuff 👍

Loads similar on eBay or Amazon hopefully without the daft postage cost 🙄

can you get your hand up the side of the dash over the centre tunnel/console

Hey thanks for the replies. I'll order a magnetic thing and have a feel around next time I have it open but I can't hear a rattle so I won't remove any panels as I'll probs end up snapping something and creating a rattle hah

And @jimpster no I can't get my hand anywhere inside the dash without removing panels. I tried all of the little gaps.
