I would intensely dislike an 'LPG' only car - you would have the same range anxiety as a battery one. Not everywhere sells LPG, but with dual fuel, it's an amazing driving experience...

I asked if the 1.0 is lpg converted.

This looks nice. Nice car.

LPG is still widely available in Australia,definitely no ‘range anxiety’.(even though some petrol stations have pulled the pumps out) it is very easily obtainable in the major cities,& regional centres.Straight LPG is far better than ‘duel fuel’.

No,my Ecoboost 1.0 is not LPG or duel fuel.Just no economic sense in doing it.

Nope, you misunderstand, the 'anxiety' of trying to get another LPG full up is the issue, with dual fuel, you can relax, so the driving experience is great, nothing to do with performance... (LPG is not that widely available in the UK)

Having driven around the UK quite a few times(last time over 5,000 miles) I cannot see you guys having an issue,towns,city’s are not that far apart.Your mileages pale into insignificance in what we do over here.I have done Broken Hill a few times 2,600kms return,I would still have no problems obtaining LPG if I had a gas car.

Are cars sold with lpg from the manufacture only or there are lpg systems that can be selected for convertion there?

The problem here is that the majority of people don't regularly drive past a petrol station that has LPG. It means by the time you've gone completely out of your way going to and from the petrol station, you've going wasted about an hour just to fill your car up every week or so.

LPG just isn't worth it imo. I struggled to justify the initial installation cost and additional maintenance costs compared to the amount of savings I'd make (and this was on a 4.2L v8!). I'm sure I worked it out to be around 5 years of doing 10,000 miles a year just to break even. I think by that point I'd have probably changed car or parts of the system would be degrading anyway and needing to be replaced.

Ford use to manufacture dedicated LPG Ford Falcons, but no longer as they have now ceased local manufacturing.Holden had also a LPG powered Commodore,but it was a duel system,& was inferior to the Ford system.Holden has also ceased local manufacture.Tou can still get a vehicle converted,but not as popular anymore.Every ten years the tank has to be taken out & inspected.

You don’t seem to have much of an infrastructure supporting LPG.Hybrid is really a better way to go now.

Here every ten years the tank had to be changed.

Many convert their cars to lpg. Old and new (mostly old), small and big, many cars are converted. There are many stations that include lpg, not all of them though.

I dont prefer hybrid or electrical cars, for many reasons, also many others.

When it is converted and tested i shall report.

There many available systems here.

Brc, Lovato, landirenzo, zavolli, europegas, icom, stag, prins and vialle are most popular.

On fiesta 1.3 2007 brc s24 system worked fine, above expectations. No issues. Saved a lot of money since 2014.

It injects 10% petroil on high rpm.

Fiesta using lpg endured long trips and distances, on high speeds, heavily loaded.

If the car covers at least 10000 km or miles per year then lpg conversion should be considered. At least here.

Look up ‘Ecolpi’,Fords own system.

There is not that system here unfortunately. Many car models and versions are not available here.

No,correct,it is solely an Australian manufactured & designed system.It was designed in conjunction with ‘Sarich’ industries.Ralph Sarich was the guy who developed the ‘Orbital’ engine,but it never got into production.Look it up, very,very interesting subject.

There is no such regulation in UK to change the LPG tank every 10 years, mine was 22 years old when I sold it! Also, servicing was a very minor affair every other year with a few filter changes, and visual checks, last one cost me £70!

Lpg system installation is complete.
Tested it and the result is very satisfying.
It also uses 5 per cent petroil.
The lpg system is prins vsi 2.

Excellent.

It runs even better than petrol.

Only issue was that because at winter the mixture sold at gas stations of lpg changes, sometimes when the weather eas very cold, it turned to petrol automatically. But it was fixed, by changing the gas station (chose one with a stronger pump) and adding air inside the lpg tank. It was very simple to do. The nozzle needed to be held steady.
After adding air there was no issue.
