A friend of mine has a 2005 focus petrol

The battery went dead on her, it won't start now and throwing up multiple faults now

It tries to turnover, he can hear the fuel pump but not start

He's fully charged battery and even with a high power jumper still nothing

I've attached a screenshot of the faults

Thanks in advance

Niall

Ignore the faults, if the battery has been low voltage the modules would probably all report faults. Clear the codes and start with basic fault finding.

He said the codes won't clear at all

He says everytime he clears the faults, they come straight back, battery is fully charged now so he's at a lost with the low voltage

Get him to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes, the modules may be in an indeterminate state.

Why don't you just list every know issue instead of updating every reply!

I think he'd get more helpful responses if we knew the full story

Has someone tried to jumpstart it? Did they get positive and negative mixed up, or did they get the terminals mixed up when charging the battery?

He's had the battery charging for couple of days on the bench, when back in it wouldn't turn over so attacked the jump leads and still no start

It's hard getting all the info as he lives an hour away from me and he's not on this page

Thanks for all the help folks

Not sure if he's sorted it yet as haven't had a reply off him in couple days

If he's got internet access, even on a phone, it might be worth him joining on here. It only takes a minute or so to register and it will save you being the middle man in future.

Just a thought...
