STEVE 57FORD
Hi everyone, Just joined but have used as reference many times 馃憤 I purchased a used 65 plate September 2015 registered Focus 1.5 Ecoboost Titanium manual petrol last Saturday from a Franchise Dealer ( not Ford ) On paper looked a very well looked after car full Ford service History no advisory on any MOT 38,000 miles. Last service & MOT December 1st 2021. Emaculate on the inside hardly a mark on the outside. Took it for a test drive few days before nothing evident no noise or Clutch slipping, smooth through the gears etc. Noticed the odd noise last Sunday but Yesterday after driving about 70 miles the noise got much worse mainly on inclines in 1st year pulling away,in mainly urban conditions. On the motorway yesterday drive fine. Straight on to the supplying dealer they have it in tomorrow I have a courtesy car. So after doing much research is this the dreaded Clutch Whoop / release bearing problem which I didn't release was such an issue. It seems to do it when the car / parts are hotter no when cold. Bottom line is this worth having repaired as this appears a big job with gear box out ????聽 Has this potentially done more damage already ???? ( I did get a year's warranty with the car though don't have paperwork yet as only just got car & don't know what's covered ) Should I reject the car & hopefully get my money back as I'd only had the car 2.5 days & covered only about 120 miles. Any advice please would be gratefully received 馃槂 Many thanks 馃憤 聽 聽
