Ghia Badges

Featured Replies

I'm on another group [yes slapped wrists all-round] and posted that i'd bought some Ghia badges for my mk2 which it is [£1.59 from china inc post] and someone responded why as Ford had not released a badged Ghia since 2010. I'm quite chuffed that its the Ghia model with the extra bells and whistles. Had me thinking as to why they Ford would stop as its minimal cost.

Any thoughts ?

They simply canned the GHIA trim level I. 2010 so no more badges 😀

Even though Titanium was around before 2010, it later superceded GHIA 👍

Cheers well that clears that up, am still gonna badge mine LOL

Do you have a MK2 Focus? If so it does deserve the badge because they did originally come with them. I have a MK2 Focus Ghia from 2006 😀

They stopped the GHIA trim level on the Focus from the MK2.5 onwards so 2008 and the MK4 Mondeo was the last to get it up until 2010 👍

Just a bit of pub trivia eh 😁

The last time I bought a 'Ghia' badge was for a relatives Ford Granada in the early 80s, when the original just 'disappeared'! LOL

We now seem to be in the "don't put a badge on it, encase we upset someone"

I was quite disappointed that my MK4 Focus Titanium X came with out any badges. Bought them on eBay from China 👍

I feel like putting a Titanium badge on my LX, because the LX badge fell off and I'm not a purist 😁

mmm...

I think I'll get an "Automatic" badge to put on mine, like they did in the 1960s 😉

I actually removed my LX badge last year with the intent of putting on a new 'font' Focus badge, but liked it debadged that much, it remains naked LOL

YES 2007 1.6 Ghia, theres also a  badge or writing missing off the r/hand side of the tailgate and no smudge of what should be there.

Down to location now, dont fancy bottom of the front wings, i fancy of the black bit on the rear doors

I actually quite like that too! Mine has body coloured boot trim though, which is rather unusual for an LX

Then what were those people complaining about lol! Yeah on the black trim of the rear doors is where they're supposed to be. And "GHIA" in chrome letters on the right hand side of the boot lid

Best put the "ABS" and "EFi" on just to be safe 🤣

Thank god they killed it off, the cheapo plastic "wood" trim that they always put everyone on the Ghia trim MK2 Focus and MK3/Mk4 Mondeos (and others) was okay in 1986 but ***** hideous by the standards/tastes of 2000 onwards.

The 1st thing I did when I bought my 2005 MK2 Ghia in 2011 was replace the "wood" trim.
