saint1
Hi all, I have recently brought a 2015 Ford Fiesta Studio (the only model without Remote Locking as standard馃檮). I've seen you can buy kits off eBay to turn standard central locking into remote locking.聽 Just seeing if anyone knows if this is possible to do with this model? There is another thread here from a few years back regarding the same topic, but to no avail: I've approached a company near me who say they can do this (www.automotive-control.co.uk) but have been quoted 拢300 including the kit and x2 keys. The kits are only 拢20-拢40 online so seems a bit steep - assuming it must be a pain in the ***** to install hence the price? Would rather not pay 拢300 for this but it's driving me crazy not having remote locking on a new(ish) car. Had a 2003 Fiesta before this one and even that had remote locking! Any input appreciated聽馃榾

isetta
Whilst not a helpful comment, my killer feature is quick clear windscreen . I don鈥檛 suppose the studio model has that either. I don鈥檛 think I鈥檇 be too bothered if I didn鈥檛 have remote locking.聽
unofix
Studio models come with a drivers seat and steering wheel as standard, but Ford are looking to do away with one of those unnecessary extras 馃ぃ Reminds me of the Escort mk2 "Popular" came with a rubber floor

isetta
Mk1 Fiesta popular didn鈥檛 even have a heated rear window. Can鈥檛 recall if mk2 did. None of this helps saint1.
TomsFocus
My first car was a 306 in Miami spec... Manual locks, manual windows, manual mirrors, didn't even have a rev counter...聽 So, what made it the Miami trim?聽 An electronically operated sunroof!!聽 聽

Ah good old Maplins. It does seem like a lot of bother for something so simple. Will get a better specced one eventually but going to have to suck it up with this one for now.聽
Neb_engineer
Having had my central locking not working for 2 days before realising the car had just forgotten the remote in my key I know the pain lol 1
yo2002
On a German forum, I found some very useful information. It seems that the car is equipped with everything necessary, the only issue is a software limitation. Specifically, the "Door Remote Control" is coded as "Without remote control." This can be modified using ForScan, and it should be set to "02 - Door remote, multichannel, no remote start." Then, the only thing left to do is to program the new remote key.
