5 Minute Job

Featured Replies

OK you can point and laugh

The best laid plans of mice and idiots LOL. Watched the vids, ordered the correct bulbs. The job oh to change my internal lights to red LED's to match the rest of the interior lighting. Finally managed to get the roof lights out and with my fat fingers the bulbs in. Nothing worked. Came back in a looked up possible reasons, bulbs wrong way etc ............ nope some idiot blew fuse 80, now to go fusebox diving, gotta love 5 minute jobs hahahahahahahaha

Don't forget that the interior lights timeout after 5mins of doors being open - or mine did on my MK3.5

I had to look at this...

"5 Minute Job"

"Started 2 Hours Ago"

When I fitted LED light fittings in the boot of my 2008 Focus I fell into the timeout trap outlined by Jon above - took me ages to find that out !!

And while you are on your hands and knees getting at the fusebox, you might as well change to pollen filter !

How do you think I found out about it lol. Took me longer than I care to admit to figure it out lol.

Also, if you remove your rear lights and then try to lock the car up using the button then it won't lock.

Where did i mention 2 hours, you always get one AH. my Ghia has courtesy lights switches and separate map lights switches.

James, you didn't, but where it was listed under "Topics", it was shown as :

"5 Minute Job"

"Started 2 Hours Ago"

So that is what I found amusing !

Not Familiar with the abbreviation "AH" ?

Think it's an old pop group, didn't they have a hit with 'Take on me' 🤣

I had to google that, when you said old pop group, I was thinking about the "Inkspots"
