Focus MK2.5 Fitting an ST Spoiler on a Titanium

Featured Replies

Hi I have just had my ST spoiler painted and it is now ready to fit to my car, I know this is a straight swap as I have seen other posts on here in regards to doing it.

The post I found said it has a guide on it but when I click the link it is just a dead link.

Does anyone still have the guide please?

I am also aware that when changing the spoiler it is advised to seal certain parts due to the known issue of water ingress into the roof lining / boot. I am unable to find a guide to this either?

The third brake light has two wires running to it and I am aware that the connector needs to be cut off to make it work on a non ST car. I did read that the positive wire should be thicker then the ground wire but both wires on the third brake light are the same thickness and colour?

I have attached some pictures...

Here is a guide https://www.jamessimpson.co.uk/how-to-fit-focus-st-spoiler/ some say to silicone around the bolts but I had no problem when I had done mines.

Do not forget to tell your insurance company you have fitted it.

Thanks for the concern, it is already on my insurance along with the rest of the ST body kit 🙂

When I took out my insurance I already had the parts and knew that I would be fitting them. Surprisingly my insurance would be a lot cheaper if I had an actual Focus ST!

Thank you, all fitted and working 🙂
