Mk2 focus Passenger door locked inside n out

Hello 

my passenger door on my mk2 focus just randomly stopped opening from the inside and outside. I’ve checked all the fuses and they’re all fine, I’ve managed to get the door card off. After I took the handle off I pulled on the handle wire a few times to which it felt really stiff so I sprayed it with plenty of WD40. Before resembling I tried it with the key and handles inside/outside to which it worked without a problem. I thought it was just stuck but yet again it’s happened again making the passenger climb over my seat again. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do please ?
