Boot auto latch not working

Featured Replies

Auto latch on boot stopped working, still works with fob, mine has the number plate lights and reversing camera, fuse is ok, any videos of how to remove and fit new?? Would be appreciated I can get one for under£30IMG_20220404_114822731.thumb.jpg.cdfdcfc5fe42d7985d3b552a66eff6c4.jpg Focus Titanium X 17 plate.

There's a video on YouTube that tells you you have to remove handles, inner panel, outer panel etc. You don't have to! Just prise it out from the outside - you might damage the old unit getting it out, but that won't matter if you've got the new one ready to press into place (there's a spring clip at each end). I used a couple of old credit cards along the long ends as well as a small/medium flat blade screwdriver at each end.

Once the old one is out, there's a flying lead and plug for the electrical connection.
