Diagnostic test

Featured Replies

Hi Guys.I brought a Ford Transit Courier trend from a garage in 2019 and recently it has been sending a message saying engine service now and a spanner comes up on the dash and it goes into limp mode, so i had it put on a Diagnostic tester and it showd up a couple of faults but the main thing is it showd the van had 171.000 miles on it not the 26.000 on it when i brought the van, so it clearly had done 150.000 miles in the three years it never had to have a mot, this is amazing to find out , any ideas. kind regards.

wow 150000 in three years..... thats a hard three years by anyones standards, 4100 miles a month ?

Whats has the Garage said?

Sure it wasn't 150,000 Km?  Is there no paperwork for servicing or consumables to confirm the correct mileage?  Was it just one module that showed high mileage?  If so, that may have been a replacement from a breakers yard.

I'm not sure what your question is though?  We can't advise on the engine malfunction faults unless you give us the codes.
