Hi can anyone help me please I have just got ride of my mondeo mk1 hatchback (1995)and have now got an escort 5door hatchback 1998 finesse will the roof bars Halfords Value Fitting Kit K03 fit my escort many thanks David

    I have roof bars and roof rack to fit Escort Mark V which I think is yours.

    Take look - open a door - peel back the rubber that is on the car body at roof level.  There should be a piece of tape sprayed in the car body colour

    Under this tape is a bolt hole.  There are two each side at the font and 2 each side at the rear.  If you have these then my roof bars are what you want

    When the roof bars are affixed with bolts (I have the originals) then a the roof rack fixes to the bars with hand tightened screw bolts.

    You could of course get a bike rack to fit the bars or a roof top box.  The important things are the bars.

    They served me well when my daughters were at University.  They re in good condition. I livenear Leicester
