No drive

Featured Replies

Ford focus 09 1.8diesel I put in a new clutch about a month ago all has been fine till this morning changed down for a corner as I accelerated out of corner I had no drive , I stopped when I tried to drive away same thing , but if I slowly accelerated and slipped clutch I could get drive but only 5mph. I limped home at 5mph by slipping clutch and low revs, any ideas please.

Sounds like a problem with the clutch pressure plate. When you fitted the new clutch did you replace everything ?

Yes everything including pressure plate I came as a complete kit, was a proper one not a cheapie. Thanks for reply.

Just had a thought, failure of the 'transaxle differential' would cause the fault
