My grandson owns a 2014 Ford Focus. His radio is a mess. It was checked and he was told the audio module needs to be replaced. Part cost $800 and another $100 to install. Has anyone experienced this and is this a realistic charge?

I'd want to find out more about how it broke and if that's really the right way to fix it - there are so many kids out there upgrading and or playing some will know how to sort it  - or have a unit on ebay for 300 - but it would help if you gave the exact model fitted...    did it occur, he probably tried to upgrade the software and flashed it wrong and it might be fixable with the right skills

price wise if the whole using is really dead its very cheap and 100 to fit not even worth discussing

the world is mad - 1500 each time you go near a garage is the new normal - the idea is just to sell cars and keep the production line happy - they don't need to care about us or brand loyalty they have more customers than they can cope with - anyone complaining or hesitant to spend the money is just a delay and they want u gone so they can rob the next mug
