MK4 power steering noise

Featured Replies

Can't really explain the noise, when I park my car at home I have to turn, it's not on full lock, but it does appear to make a noise, I haven't checked the power steering yet, could that be running low?

Power steering is electric, nothing to really check.

Is it a very quiet almost creak as you manoeuvre at low speed?

Otherwise just hearing a bit of the electric motor working at low speed is normal, especially if you turn fast.

Thanks, might be the electric motor I'm hearing, only hear when turning sharper at lower speeds, my car is due for it's first service in June, so I might mention it then, I guess I will not have to check power steering fluid then.
