FOCUS Heated Seats Retrofit Help!

Featured Replies

Hi, i am retrofitting the heated seats to my facelift 2016 focus. have fitted everything including the switches but it wasnt working. After double checking everything i have found that Pin 21 on the Hvac blue plug is not wired??? so the switches are not getting any power... quite surprising as i haven't seen anyone mention this at all in any other guides, I assumed it was as the switches light up when pressed and i can select level 1,2 and 3.

Fuse 85 is there also and has a fuse and i get power on the fusebox.

Can someone point me in the right direction on where to wire pin 21 up too please i think this is what is going to get my heated seats working.

looks like im missing the switch wires back to the seats as well!! really strange that these are missing also 😞 looks like a bit of wiring to do.. does anyone have any details on what i need to do .. is it easier to run new wires and how do i need a part of a loom to get the pins?

for anyone else who needs know how to do this.

In my case the loom was missing between the switches (HVAC in my case as im facelift) and block C33 which is a connection block located in passenger footwell at the bottom of the console.

what i did was obtain some extra pins for the loom and made up a loom of 3 wires. you then need connect C33-5 to the blue plug on the hvac pin 21, C33-12 to the blue plug on hvac pin 22 and C33-13 to the blue plug on hvac pin 23, once this is done the heated seats will work.

maybe you need a wire from the fuse box to seat connector on both seats. i know mines a differen model but this it what i had i had wire the switch wires from passenger side connector but wouldnt work so added a live from fuse box to seat connector and bingo
