Sync2 bluetooth failed

Featured Replies

Hi guys, been a while since posting I've got bluetooth issues whereby the car is not discoverable by any phone or vice versa, have tried the usual master reset etc anything else that has worked for anyone

One quick and simple thing is disconnect the negative lead of the battery for 20 minutes. When it's reconnected it will force all modules to reboot. It works about half the time so it's worth ago.

Thank you for the reply, is this quite a common issue? I will try the negative trick

Do you have any other suggestions should this fail?

Just an update, I've tried removing the negative for 20mins as suggested but still cannot find/pair a device, anymore suggestions?

What model and year do you have [salvage doesn't really give to much of a clue]

It is very possible that the Bluetooth module has died.

2015 Estate titanium

It's a sync 2 version

Is the module easily changed or tested ?

Also I'm not sure of this is linked or not but pretty much everyday it comes up that it is carrying out essential maintenance

On your model with Sync 2 as far as I know the bluetooth module is located above the glovebox. You will have to fully remove the glovebox and then look upwards under the dash.

Do you have a part number for the module that I may require and can it be a straight swap without coding?

Sorry don't know the part number (more than one type). They are just 'plug and play' no programming needed
