Fm radio adapter for mk2 focus

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I bought an adapter back in Feb from halfords, went to finally fit it today and believe it is the wrong one.

Can you please confirm which one I need to buy so I can get FM back on in my car?

Only want FM for the pirate radio stations lol. DAB is great but too commercial lol

are you saying that your Focus Mk2 2005, factory fitted radio does not have FM ?

Looks like an aftermarket headunit.

I'm not sure which adapter they need though...either the pictures are poor quality or my eyes are getting worse!

Is it one of these you need?

The last time I had a car with no FM, was my Datsun 120Y, it was made in 1972 LOL

The 2005 Focus was fitted with the 6000CD head unit which has FM, I know, I own one...

They weren’t that bad, they were nicer to drive than uk cars of same era but they did rust a bit.  I know uk cars did as well but the Japanese ones even faster.  Recall bumpers rusted rapidly from the back so the chrome remainded like some kitchen foil

"a bit"??? LOL That car could have had 12" of snow on it and still start at 1st twist of key, but the body was made out of that special tin made for the manufacture of baked beans cans! It was the prototype steel that early Alfa Romeos modeled themselves on 🤣

Being my 1st car, she had some nice mods with a Janspeed exhaust manifold, stainless steel pipes, and uprated shocks. massive 13" alloys, full Cibie oscars on front along with a trick hidden CB radio LOL (I was young at the time)
