Tailgate ?

Featured Replies

Some idiot backed into a mini skip [moi], hit the corner and put a dent in the tail just under the numberplate on the crease line. Do i have to stick with a PFL 2007 ? what years, models can i play with ? to give me more options.

Feel free to point and laugh, i feel a right clown.

Should have gone to spec savers

Being a Ghia, yours probably has a colour coded strip, privacy glass and maybe a different spoiler?  Think you'll end up with the same rarity issue as the mirror!

The facelift tailgate will physically fit afaik, but it's got a more modern design that matches the other facelifted parts of the car...would look a bit weird on it's own on a PFL I think.

Cheers, no stripe, green glass with a non working heated screen, not sure on spoiler. Will take a pic in a bit when it stops p***ing it down. more cost effective to replace the unit than get it fettled and repainted.

Ouch !!!

Nasty but still repairable. You will be able to knock 60% or more of that out and then fill as required. Of course in an ideal world a replacement tailgate of the right colour with working rear wiper would be a nice fix

Whoops!  That's worse than I was expecting!

The boot strip is colour coded, it just happens to be black as your car is black lol.  Lower spec models have an unpainted (faded grey) strip instead.

No privacy glass should make it easier to find a replacement.

Is the spoiler colour coded or is that standard unpainted?  Can't tell at that pic angle.

The spoiler is the grainy grey/black plastic, grab rail is colour coded but was chipped so i had already flatted it with 1000 grit w/d. Its the heated screen not working, wiper is fine. was tempted to go ST

Yes, it has a "styling crease" above the plastic strip but don't think it would look particularly odd - personal opinion of course

FL would certainly increase chances of finding one in decent nick so I wouldn't rule it out if it were mine.

Lol, I once backed a Mini into a post very like that and I could have sworn it wasn't there when I parked!

Have message those already suggested and will relook at FL tails see what i think.
