MY 59 plate focus mk2 diesel estate  noticed water under carpet in driver side footwell  at bottom region also felt soaked ?



Probably something to do with the heater hose pipes in to the heater matrix. I think that @StephenFord might be able to offer some advice on this.

Now, would you be talking about the ubiquitous, 'heater matrix' fault? LOL Yes, mine has gone faulty, twice! Basically there is a seal that joins one of the water pipes that goes into the heater matrix, the seal is a £3 part, but a darn nuisance to reach. Make sure you get a proper FORD replacement seal as it has a specific chamfer. My mechanic charged a couple of hours labour, but unskilled ones may charge you for the learning curve to repair. I've always said if it goes a 3rd time, I'm not getting the seal replaced again, but will get an inch or so cut from either end of the offending 2 x pipes, and rejoined using some high quality hose pipe and jubilee clips...
