LED REAR LIGHT UNITS

Featured Replies

Hi.   I have a 2005 mk2 ford focus 2.0 litre ghia 5 door. The previous owner had a few options fitted from new which included LED rear light units as the photos attached. Right hand (drivers side) indicator section is working intermittently but whole unit seems to be a sealed unit.  Any ideas for a replacement or anyone know of a used item for sale. Would appear to be very difficult to find unless you have extra deep pockets!     (sorry but photo of the lens doesn't load for some reason)

Didn’t know Ford produced full LED rear lights at that time. My son’s ST2 2008 has led side light but painted bulbs for indicator and brake light

I’d think those are an aftermarket light unit not a Ford OEM fitment, Ford went to LED type lamps on some spec MK2.5’s but they don’t look anything like those.

facing a similar issue, want to change mine to the clears, cant afford LED's, but when i tell scrappers what i want to do i'm told they wont fit my 2007, i dont mind a bit of wiring, but no butchering.

Do you have an invoice showing those as being fitted from new?

They are aftermarket light units, manufactured by TYC, and as far I know, were not offered as an optional extra.

They are no longer produced, but you can buy very similar items manufactured by Depo for under £150 the pair in various places online.

Bear in mind that they could also cause insurance issues if not declared as a modification.

Thanks for the info.

I have a 2007 20l ghia petrol and have put in led lights for the Brake light and side light and  Also scrawling indicators in the door mirrors looks great

I have had these on my Ebay 'watched' items forever, just too expensive for me...

Thanks for the info.   I have now swapped the TYC led units out for standard Focus ones.  Consequently i now have a fully working passenger side unit for sale.  The driver side unit has an intermittent fault on the indicator section.  Will probably Ebay them soon.  Thanks for all the info.
