Build data

Featured Replies

Is there anywhere i can access build data spec for my car before i go ripping it to bits. Looking to upgrade my speakers and dynamat the panels. Ford have a habit of throwing anything cheap in and a google says any size is possible to be fitted.

I'd like to have the replacements here ready for when i take the door cards off. Got my eye on some JVC 600 watt units for both front and rear @ £20 a pair

cheers but it keeps erroring looks like its being moved.

I haven't used it for sometime now because it no longer worked with Windows 7, which is what I still use. Maybe @iantt knows of the replacement site.

I can't get in at all today even with my password.

Etis is migrating over to PTS website sections at a time.

Can us peasants use the new site or is it restricted to techs only now?  I noticed service info isn't available through ETIS any more.

As for the speakers, I don't know the size, but you should have the premium speakers being a Ghia.  The base spec cars came with cheap paper cone crap!

7Zap shows the size... https://ford.7zap.com/en/car/43/no/0/1659/16051/70079/

Fronts - 222 X 193mm

Rears - 185mm

Can't help wondering.... are a pair of £20 speakers REALLY going to sound better than the Ford Ghia ones?

Technically its not better but louder, some music NEEDS to make you ears bleed and annoy the world. Been looking at also doing an amp and an underseat sub as i need the boot space.

I've emailed Ford.EU with it not seeing my REG etc, lets see what i get fobbed off with.

Probably had a private plate in the past if the VIN works fine.

Installing higher rated speakers won't make it louder. You need a bigger amp. One that goes up to 11 rather than 10
