EGR Problems

Featured Replies

I have had an issue with the EGR stuck shut on my Focus 2013 TDCI 1.6L Duratorq CR TC (115PS). I have removed, cleaned it and reset the leaned values with Forscan, to be honest it wasn't too bad before the cleaning but after clearing the codes I still have the same issue.

I have read they they perform a self test when the ignition is turned off, this one doesn't make any noise at all.

I have looked at it with Forscan and its coming up with -100% on EGR_B_ERR

Does anyone have any idea's

Sounds like it's broken electronically and needs to be replaced tbh.

I agree with Tom most likely an electronic problem with the EGR or wiring to it. That screenshot was taken with the car not running. Is it the same with the car running.

I have changed the solenoid (and done another reset) and its still the same, so it must be something else.

Is there more than one EGR valve on this engine with it referring to EGR_A_ERR & EGR_B_ERR?

I am pretty sure the screen shot was taken with the car running
