Mondeo not starting

Featured Replies

Hi,i have 2015 mondeo with start stop, had problem where engine would crank but not start, replaced battery and did battery management system reset, worked great for few weeks and now problem returned, drove car around all day stopped to go into shop and car wouldnt start when i returned, anyone had similar issues with ford stsrt stop system....thanks

Just search this forum, there are hundreds if not thousands of threads on the subject of Stop/Start.

In short it will never consistently work due to the battery State Of Charge never getting above 80% and the S/S being disabled every time the SOC drops below 70%

Might need a bit more detail from the OP on this one - not sure this is actually a S/S problem if the engine is cranking without starting, presumably when attempting to start on the key/button?
