as with all things buying selling its Caveat emptor - buyer beware and due dilligence must be observed moreso on higher end purchases, yes a bulb can go without warning, I feel your pain as many will. If your confident 1000% with the seller then go ahead, best of luck with it and happy motoring.

its just the trust issues for me lmao

Can't trust anyone when buying cars sadly.  At least with a large dealer like this, you do get some warranty if anything went wrong in the near future.

Strangely, I used to be on the other side of this...would buy cheap cars and tart them up to resell...  Putting the repairs & maintenance in the ads actually put buyers off!!    And mentioning that I'd changed the cambelt was always a bad move...so I had to change wording to 'cambelt changed'.  Mad really, but it's all smoke & mirrors with car sales.  I was caught out last year buying from a main dealer for the first time ever.  Had assumed main dealer sales would be the best option when I could finally afford that.  How wrong I was!!  When it arrived, the car was worse than much older cars I'd bought privately!  But what really p*ssed me off was the fact they'd sent me a video of the car, but cleverly avoided all of the issues on it!  I thought it seemed odd at the time when they were focussing on very specific, seemingly random, areas...

Just some random thoughts

1. How long is the warranty on the car - does it include the engine?

2. Look into getting a 3rd party extended warranty on the car

3. Tell your dealership you are getting an extended warranty on the car so you need to know the milage on the new engine

I don't think they'll have access to mileage information but there's no harm in asking.  Just state you'd like to know when the cambelt will need changing as Alex suggested.

Not all pipes are replaced with the engine...though having 2015 pipes on a pre-facelift does suggest that those weren't original!  Is that on the degas pipe perhaps?  As that should have been replaced under recall.

To add to your response, this is the engine. The rust I believe could just be down to surface rust from not being dried off from water ie, car wash, rain. (Been round to see my good trustworthy friend who owns his own car garage, his reponce is to keep the car as if it drives fine) But if you can tell me anything from that. Like I said the looms are dated at 2015, so definitely a newer engine and judging by the mileage on 2015 focus' the mileage are a lot less or the same.

It's just the hiding things from me that have done my head in. Maybe the engine had just gone on it due to the ecoboom issues, they realised and just put a new engine in lol

That's the turbo, not usually changed with the engine, generally swapped from the old to the new.

Used cast iron parts will always be rusty, however that does look like it's been sat in a river for a week or two lol.  I think the HDR on your camera may be making it look worse than it is.

The dirt on the rocker cover is odd.  Can't tell whether that's just been sat outside for a bit or whether the bay was 'valeted' after replacement.  Either way, it doesn't look new.  Though the vac pump still looks factory fresh.

Also looks like the metal turbo coolant pipes are starting to rust...might want to sand those back and paint them with Hammerite or similar if you keep the car.

(Biggest issue I can see there...the oil cap is upside down! )

I can't tell you what to do of course, it's a difficult choice...the car may be fine for years to come, but if you'll always be worrying about it then it may not be worth keeping.
