"Not sure what people mean by instant mpg, but if you press the left stalk until the display shows the mpg then hold it in it resets the mpg display thus giving an 'instant' mpg figure on release."

There are 2 seperate functions, of course yes if you reset MPG for a short time it will show immediate MPG but on my '10' ZS i have average AND instant, all the time. Its instant all the time, floor it and watch it fall, cruise down a hill and it goes to 99.9 :P

Wel im back safe and sound. :)

It made it, I was eco driving but about 2 hours from home(in ireland) I let my mum drive as I was fighting tiredness and its not a good thing to do and she drives like petrols going out of fashion(that it is,but thats another story) and we got home with 90-something miles left in the tank.

On the way home interestingly I was doing between 85 and 100leptons most of the way, we were stuck in traffic at times due to the times we were comming home(like rush hour in manchester- joy) and It got home with just about 54miles in the tank according to the miles to empty button.

So, It made it with ease really, quite happy about it to be honest.

The instant mpg im talking about is on the scollable(clickable) list of information you(or me at least) can get up on the led display inbetween the tachho and speedo.

I think it goes like this.

Odometre

Trip Metre

Average speed(from 23 to 26mph)

Instant mpg constantly changing depending on gear, load and revs i'd imagine

Average mpg( up from 37.something to 40.3 over 5000+ miles now)

Miles to Empty

Thanks

Jay

so how many miles did you get out of the tank exactly?
