Looking to buy 1.0 ecoboost fiesta

Featured Replies

Perhaps we should have a poll?

I was also a fan for many years. One of the things that appealed back then was the relative simplicity - once you got a mechanically injected diesel going, there were no complicated electronics to make it break down!

I know they can be troublesome when they play up but for fuel economy and superior torque I love them. When I bought my 2015 diesel fiesta in 2016 I was seriously thinking about buying an eco boost because I was worried about diesel dpf but I’m glad I stuck with diesel. (So far, fingers crossed)

Make me laugh when people moan about the smell of diesel filling...at least it only has to be done half as often as petrol filling!

I'm still a massive diesel fan...  Tonnes of torque for a smooth & easy drive as well as much better MPG than an equivalent petrol.  If you burrow down into the bowels of the internet, I used to hate them based on nothing more than conditioning...before buying my first in 2011 and never looking back!

They are a dying breed, majority of manufactures are now stating to discontinue them. If you are worried about fuel economy, get a Hybrid, just as good if not better.Leave diesel to the commercial sector where it is very well suited.

Hybrids aren't a smooth drive.  I know most people aren't fussed about that, but sadly it's a necessity for me.  I've got an MHEV Focus that I can't drive because of the jerky brake regen among other things.  Well aware I'm not the standard buyer though!!
