2007 Focus MKII poor MPG

Featured Replies

I calculated it three times, and It is around 14L/100km (17mpg).

Last week, I went to a 200km (124mile) long trip, and the car consumed 25 litres (6,6gallons) of fuel, and that is a LOT

It is a 5 door hatchback with a 1.4l petrol engine

Do you have any ideas why is it this bad?

You have a hole in the tank !!

It's nearly imposible for the car to use that much fuel and still be running normally.

MAP sensor would be my first thought.  The cat is probably now also ruined with that much unburnt petrol through it.
