Hi had the same issue as you @Simon Kelly, although I used the factory boot harness for the factory camera, and I could not get to work, I had the following missing from my car 2017 Titanium.

Wiring from centre console area to APIM (Blue and Green wires), I fitted these, still no camera, done a bit more poking about and discovered that I didn't have a ground, but had power, grounded the camera locally in the boot and got working, however I don't have the wiring going to the BCM for the active steering guide lines, but I can live without.

Do you remember where the blue and green wires terminate in the centre console? Underneath the gear stick or further back/forward?

Underneath the centre console, remove the left hand side panel to access the plug

Also make sure you have the right voltage stabilisation module, it's located up behind the OBD socket

Hero, thank you so much! I've already swapped the voltage module so happy on that front. Do you know if the green and blue wires from the boot loom come to the same place and are just tied off to the side instead of in the connector?

The Green and Blue wires will be populated on one side of the plug (coming from the boot), the other side (like mines, wasnt) will probably be blank, this you need to go to the Sync module

Well it's certainly been a while...

Still in progress with this one. The original boot release/camera module broke and I had to resort to opening the boot with the key, so that was replaced. I also tapped into the floor loom in the passenger side footwell (thank you @KevG) for the video + & - wires, continuity tested them, and brought them up into the APIM adaptor I had previously. Lastly, I was also adding a second boot light, so tapped into that for ground.

Unfortunately, I still get the blue screen screen after making the change to the APIM through forscan. I think this may be an issue of the boot lights being ground switched by the boot latch, meaning there's only a ground present when the bootlid is open... 😅

Daylight has escaped me today, but hoping to get it working at last next weekend and will update then.

Any updates on this?

I've just got a Focus MK3.5, looking to add a reverse camera. I have the grey connector on the right side of the boot. What do I need to get the OEM camera working, and what prices are looking at?

Any advantage over getting a £15 eBay camera?

Advantages over a £15 eBay camera are that you will have a decent picture on the screen and probably the steering lines too, if all the wiring is in place, which be your biggest issue.

Have a look in this thread at all the pictures and see if you have the wiring.

For the Hardware you will need:

(If not already fitted from Factory) Voltage Stabilising Module, Engineering Part No: BV6T-14B526-AC

Boot/Camera harness, Finis Code: F1913858

Boot/tailgate switch plastic housing, Engineering Part No: F1EB-19B514-BE

Camera Module, Finis Code F1873024

A bit of Forscan programming

To close this out, I did eventually get it sorted. Followed all the steps above, but got a ground in behind the parcel shelf trim on the right hand side as the boot lights are indeed ground switched, so they're no good.

Used a ring terminal behind the screw that holds the trim on and got it fired up and working. I only have static lines, but that's because I didn't enable dynamic lines in Forscan and haven't really felt the need to since I got it working. Have to say that having the camera is a game-changer though!
