Im looking to buy a 2015 transit connect. The 3seaters are scarce and Im wondering if its possible to put a double passenger seat in a 2seater.

Has anyone tried? is there a bolt hole issue, airbag issue or legal issue? I could get it certified and reviewed provided there is no other problems.

Thanks in advance.

It is not possible to fit a double front seat because of the reasons you have stated. There needs to be a different passenger airbag system (replace the whole dashboard), then there is the extra seat belt and the whole extra safety retaining system. Different modules have to be fitted and programmed and passenger air bag safety warning lights fitted. Even if done correctly the system could never be given a compliance certificate, and I very much doubt if any insurance company would be willing to take on the unknown risk.

The van should have all points ready to attached a second row seating.

You have missed the point. The OP wanted to replace the single front passenger seat with a double front seat. They are not wanting to add extra rows of seats.
