I have a 2015 Focus Ecoboost. Location UK.

My eyes are not what they used to be when night driving, and I would like to fit Osram LEDriving Gen2 H7 LED Bulbs for dipped beam, (unless anyone has a better suggestion) 

An Auto Electrician has told me that the bulb retaining clips are not available for my vehicle, for these bulbs. Does anyone have any idea if they might be available, and where from, or the best alternative?

I'm upgrading from halogen projectors to xenon like white, a cheap alternative till i can work out how to upgrade to full OEM LED.

I have just ordered a set of LED H7 bulbs for my 2005 Focus. Yes, they are 'illegal' but are brighter, will last longer, and as long as your headlights are properly adjusted will cause no issue to other drivers. The ones I've ordered (not yet received) are the exact same physical size as a standard halogen H7 so the fitting should be a simple plug'n'play...

 

@StephenFord How did you get on with the LED lights?

After upgrading to the White Xenon H7s i still felt pretty let down by the light emitted. So went to Amazon and purchased NOVSIGHT Mini H7 LEDs with the intension of putting these in my projector lenses to lessen the impact of any dazzle to oncoming cars.

While these are a perfect and compact LED H7, they don't fit in the projector housing, the H7 hole isn't large enough. the LED measures 16-17mm while the hole is 15mm(ish).

I ended up putting the LED's in my full bean, illegal i know but I'll change these out before MOT.

Most LEDs come with inbuilt fans, I see yours don't, what made you choose them and if installed how do they preform?

I live in rural Scotland, A and B roads with no street lighting on my commute to work so need the vision esp in winter.

I'll also add, if others see this post the above NOVSIGHT are canbus free, no warnings on my dash...

Here ya go... Happy ending! Bottom line is that NO halogen bulb would outshine the worst LED bulb. (and for Scottish use, the bulbs are gender neutral LOL)

Yes, the ones with fans often don't fit because they are too big...
