Hi all,

how do you get the updates for this Sync 1 system? 
I can see on the Ford website that there is an update but no where I can see to download it.

I wanted to update the maps as they are way out of date now but got stuck here.

    2014 car should be Sync 1.1

    comments above about maps and here on firmware update all relate to Sync 1.1 (its a different later system)

    On the ford pages - go further down the page - input your chassis number and it gets to a download place

    unzip the file and in the old DAYS you had to rename some of the files as ford are utterly incompetent and it CAN'T run till you fix it for them- 18 months after that they re-upped the files in their server with a 2019 date and YET STILL had the same fault in the file names

    there is ONE big post on how to fix on this site - needs the car running and takes about 25 minutes.... rebooting after its done

    READ from here down - making sure you FULLY GET EXACTLY what  Phil21185 says to do to modify the files three posts further down - I missed it and wasted a few hours....
