MkII 2.0 Focus Throttle Body Removal

Featured Replies

I want to remove and clean the throttle body but the Haynes manual says I have to drain the coolant first or clamp the hoses off before removal

Why is this I cannot see any hoses attached to the TB

rEGARDS

The older 2.0 Duratec ran coolant past the throttle body.

I would imagine yours is new enough to be the electronic TB without coolant connection.

Thanks for posting replies

I think the TB motor is running all the time from when the ignition is turned on as there is a whirring sound from the TB itself. It stops when I remove the TB sensor connection. I am hoping a clean and a calibration will sort it out

Any Thoughts would be appreciated

Regards
