Can the dealer turn up the heat on my front heated seats?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just wondering if the the dealer turn up the heat on my front heated seats on my mk4.

I have just sold my other mk4 same year but those seats were allot warmer when on full.

Many Thanks

Are you comparing leather seats now with previous cloth seats? Leather heated seats never seem to feel as warm.

Both Seat material's are the same.

The same as what? Fabric, or leather? LOL

Doesn't matter since it's a comparative observation.

My brain is obviously too small to understand that LOL Fabric seats will appear warmer than leather, or am I wrong? Of course to be scientific, you need to set a thermometer on both to give a definitive answer!

Maybe so but the OP is saying the seats in his previous car were warmer despite the seat material being the same in both cars.

Is the car battery weak?  Things like heated seats, screens and steering wheel cut off early if the battery charge is low.

Also, are you wearing the same trousers?  Not wearing leather slacks in the new one?

hi guys... YES Maybe so but the OP is saying the seats in his previous car were warmer despite the seat material being the same in both cars.

Both cars are the same, both have the same seats which are fabric.. still wear the same bottoms nothing has changed LOL....

both cars are 20 plates with the same miles.. but my new one's the seats don't warm up as much..

I've just looked through the configuration codes and it looks like you can't adjust the heat settings, just the auto time off

ok thanks for looking :_(

much appreciated.

funny this should be a topic as my wife and l always have the disagreement between my puma and her focus (again, a mk 4). Even though the seats are the same in both cars half 'leather' and material, except mines got red piping?.. - hers get a lot hotter then mine seem too?, but on the other hand, my heated steering wheel gets a lot hotter then hers and yes, there excatly the same again!?...

Mine is only 8 months, hers is a 21 plate but has had a new battery only a matter of weeks ago....

You must have only got the hot heated steering wheel battery. You should have paid a bit more and got the very hot heated seat battery 🤣🤣

I have a Mk 1 2.0i with leather seats. Both seat and back pads work on the passenger front seat, but as the driver I only get a warm bum. Is this just tough luck as the car is 20 years old after all, or is there an easily accessible wiring connector that I can check for the back pad?

Hi, I think you would have to remove the seat cover, I bet it's just a broken wire.

Check the connections underneath first though
