unofix
The removal of the rear seat belts may of course raise the question of legality. While your quite at liberty to get the socket set out and start unbolting the rear seats and anything else you fancy removing, the seat belts firstly are part of the safety restraint system and disconnecting them may cause a warning on the dash. Secondly the type approval of the vehicle was granted based on the fact it is fitted with the legally required rear seat belts. I'd check with your insurance company before doing any work.
