Issue with 2008 1.6 Tdci Focus

Featured Replies

Hi guys I’ve got an issue with my 2008 Ford Focus for some reason. When starting and stopping I have to put my revs up to at least 2500-3000 RPM in order to get the car to move. Everyday I first start it up it stalls before I’ve even got to my biting point. I know this isn’t a problem with the clutch as it doesn’t slip and the car drives fine in all other gears. I’ve tried explaining the situation to some garages but they say they can’t be certain without doing a £100 diagnostic on it. Plus I’ve had dodgy encounters with my local garages so I don’t really trust their advice. Has anyone had a similar problem and maybe know what the issue could be. Thanks for your help in advance
